When Navroz Jessani, General Manager at T&T Honda in Calgary, looked at his showroom floor, he saw a common problem: rental mats that were failing to keep up with the demands of a high-volume dealership. This project was a comprehensive overhaul of multiple zones, including the main showroom entrance, the secondary entrance, the parts counter, and the service desk. Each area presented a different architectural challenge, requiring a mix of scraper and wiper technologies to keep the facility spotless and safe.
The Solution: A Multi-Zone Matting Strategy
For T&T Honda, we didn’t just provide mats; we engineered a moisture-control system. By analyzing the traffic flow from the vestibule to the service desk, we selected three distinct product lines to handle the specific “attack” of outdoor contaminants.
1. Entrance & Showroom: Triathlon Series
For the main and secondary entrances, we utilized the Triathlon Series in Cool Grey. This matting is a workhorse for car dealerships because of its unique “three-dimensional” pattern that traps dirt from multiple angles of approach.

As seen in the project photos, we provided a unique-shaped, custom-cut Triathlon mat for the showroom entrance to fit the specific angle of the glass partition. This ensures 100% coverage where customers naturally step, preventing “lane-tracking” of mud onto the grey tile.
2. The Air Lock: Tundra Scraper
In the vestibule (air lock) area, we installed the Tundra Scraper in Charcoal. The air lock is the first line of defense.

The Tundra’s aggressive bristles are designed to “scrub” the bottom of boots, knocking off large chunks of snow and gravel before the customer even reaches the interior showroom.
3. Service & Parts Counters: Dust-Star Series
For the parts counter and the service desk, we transitioned to the Dust-Star Series in Charcoal. These areas see prolonged standing from both staff and customers.

The Dust-Star provides a high-density “wiper” surface that absorbs any remaining moisture, while offering a softer, more premium feel underfoot. We custom-fit these mats to run the full length of the counters, providing a uniform, professional look that rental mats simply cannot achieve.
